CDA to Transform Islamabad with Digital Advertising Boards Inspired by Times Square

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched an exciting initiative to introduce digital advertising boards across Islamabad, drawing inspiration from New York City’s Times Square. This announcement came during a recent meeting focused on the 2024 advertising policy for the capital.

CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa led the meeting and shared the city’s vision to shift from traditional billboards to modern digital displays. This move aims to revamp Islamabad’s advertising landscape by replacing static posters and boards with vibrant, high-tech screens.

As part of the plan, CDA will install these digital boards along highways, major avenues, commercial hubs, and bus stops. The purpose is to boost the city’s visual appeal while aligning with global advertising trends.

Chairman Randhawa stressed the need to finalize and implement the policy quickly. He explained that digital displays will not only make advertising more efficient and engaging but also improve urban aesthetics. These screens allow advertisers to use a dynamic platform, while the CDA gains better control over ad space. This ensures that the city stays organized and visually appealing.

The initiative is expected to increase revenue for Islamabad and offer businesses a modern way to reach their audience.
